Breastfeeding is a learned skill that requires time to master, you don’t have to learn it alone!

I offer compassionate, evidence‑based support to help you move from pain and worry to comfort and confidence, with two weeks of WhatsApp follow‑up so you feel supported as things change day‑to‑day.

What is an IBCLC?

An IBCLC is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, the highest professional qualification in breastfeeding knowledge and support. To achieve this qualification I had to complete over 90 hours of study and over 1000 hours providing lactation support, followed by a rigorous 4 hour examination. The qualification is recognised all over the world and all IBCLCs must adhere to a code of conduct and professional standards, along with completing a revalidation process every 5 years, whereby we must demonstrate continued study and practice hours. This ensures that all practicing IBCLCs are staying up to date and informed in the latest research evidence, in order to continue providing the highest standards of care.

Liz was excellent from the moment I contacted her through to the consultation and follow up. She is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and without her I wouldn’t have been able to continue breastfeeding on one side. I would absolutely recommend Liz for any lactation support. :)

I contacted Liz at the very beginning of my breastfeeding journey with my daughter and I couldn’t be more grateful for her help and support. Liz is a wonderful person and without her support I definitely wouldn’t be 8 months into exclusively breastfeeding my daughter. Liz helped me gain confidence and gave me support on appropriate feeding positions as my daughter got a little older. I felt very as ease with Liz and was able to reach out to her as necessary with any questions I had following our consultations. Thanks Liz! Working with Liz was fantastic - she was informative, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. After each session, I left feeling empowered. The support she offered allowed for me to feel more confident in my feeding journey, and this went well beyond breastfeeding! I highly recommend her services to anyone considering breastfeeding.

I saw Liz when my baby was 6 days old, I was sleep deprived and struggling mentally and physically with breastfeeding. As a first time mum I had no idea what to expect or if what I was experiencing was normal for me and my baby. Liz immediately put me at ease (no mean feat when you’re getting your boobs out in front of a stranger), aside from the great advice which transformed my breastfeeding journey, the biggest thing Liz gave me was confidence - confidence that I was doing well and not failing my baby, and confidence that it would get easier. I am in tears writing this review because I can’t imagine where I would be now if I had not seen Liz! I cannot recommend Liz enough and have told everyone pregnant that I know locally to get themselves booked in with her!

Liz was recommended to us by another couple in our NCT group. We decided to ask for her help early on in my breastfeeding journey and very glad we did, rather than persevering through discomfort. Liz was kind and easy to talk to, she explained everything well and had good tips on how to adjust my position and my baby's. She was also attentive on the WhatsApp support messages afterwards. Thank you Liz

We honestly can’t recommend Liz highly enough. She supported me and my wife during those very early days with our little boy, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything she did for us. Leaving hospital with a newborn can feel incredibly overwhelming. Suddenly you’re home, trying to take in so much information while running on very little sleep and wanting to make sure you’re doing everything right. Liz had a brilliant way of breaking everything down, explaining things clearly and calmly, and making it all feel much more manageable. One of the moments we’ll always remember was Liz helping our little boy latch properly for the first time. She was incredibly patient and reassuring, taking the time to guide us through it rather than making us feel rushed or pressured. That support gave us so much more confidence moving forward. She was warm, knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely caring throughout. No question ever felt silly, and you could tell that she really cared about us as a family rather than it simply feeling like another appointment. Our little boy is now 7 months old and doing wonderfully, and looking back, we’re so grateful to have had Liz’s support at a time when we really needed it. Thank you so much, Liz. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to any new parents, particularly anyone feeling a little overwhelmed after leaving hospital or needing some extra support with feeding. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I reached out to Liz, I was struggling desperately with breastfeeding after many fruitless days in hospital in early postpartum getting a lot of conflicting advise from hospital midwives on feeding, which left me totally overwhelmed. Liz did an assessment of all my concerns and worked actively with me on each one of them - including issues with flat nipples, baby’s latch and breastfeeding positions that could work for us. She also assisted me with how to deal with painful engorgement before her first at home visit with me, and all her guidance worked like a charm. I had a goal to eventually get to a point of exclusive nursing, but because I combo fed in the early days when my baby and I were struggling with latching issues and a painful latch, it took some time to get there - but we are now exclusively nursing, and my baby now completely refuses formula. We wouldn’t have been able to get there without Liz and I truly thank God we were able to get her help. She also so was completely transparent about the number of sessions I’d need and the point at which she could provide maximum value, so it gave me a good idea of what to get on with on my own after our follow up session. My baby is just less than 5 months old, and she has already doubled her birth weight and maintained her growth curve since birth. She is in the 91st percentile. Thank you Liz! ❤️

I booked a Lactation Consultant session with Liz when my son was 5 days old and her support helped shape my breastfeeding journey. Before meeting with Liz all the advice on feeding positions I had received in the hospital were not working for myself and my baby and I was finding it extremely uncomfortable and overwhelming. After my meeting with Liz she was able to suggest a feeding position that worked for me and my baby, as well incredibly helpful guidance. We had a follow up appointment at 6 weeks and Liz was also available to answer any questions via WhatsApp. Liz’s caring and informed approach transformed my breastfeeding experience and overall confidence as a first time mum. I now have a chunky 97th percentile baby, and more importantly complete trust and confidence that my body and my baby know what they’re doing when it comes to breastfeeding. It is thanks to Liz and her support during the vulnerable early days of postpartum, I’m so grateful that I had her to support my breastfeeding journey from the start.
